I thought that moment in Bernie’s NYC speech was his best of the campaign, rhetorically, and I think this ad channels that spirit, which is open and uplifting, very effectively.
The key point here, and it's true for all of the D candidates, is that the Democratic coalition is extremely diverse and you can only build a winning coalition through a spirit of welcoming inclusiveness, or, better yet, solidarity, *not* through factionalist bludgeoning.
(I think factionalist bludgeoning works much much better on the GOP side for a whole bunch of reasons having to do with the asymmetries between the two coalitions)
