On January 27, #HolocaustMemorialDay commemorates genocide that resulted in deaths of 6 million Jews who had been gathered from all over Europe and sent to gas chambers in the German and Polish extermination camps.

The #Holocaust, is known as one of the most outrageous crimes ever committed in history.
Today, on #HolocaustRemembranceDay , we also remember thousands massacred in #Iran in the greatest Crime Against Humanity After World War II

In greatest crime of the century after WW II, at least 30,000 political prisoners were massacred in mullahs’ medieval prisons in #Iran. As part of this massacre, women & men were found guilty by “Death Committee” & subsequently hanged – simply for defying Khomeini & his doctrine.

This chapter is among darkest and most outrageous in Iranian people’s history and represents a state-sponsored crime. Death Committees were a mere cover-up for extrajudicial killing of 1000s of victims, who had no legal recourse.

Indeed these victims had already been tried and sentenced to prison. They were already serving their sentences and some had completed their time in prison, or had been arbitrarily re-arrested.

There were 477 children & adolescents among victims of #1988massacre, two 11-year-olds and three 12-year-olds.
Raping women &girls was one of many crimes committed in Khomeini’s prisons.
Nasrin Shoja’i, 13 when arrested for supporting PMOI. She was raped B4 execution at age of 19

The authorities have remained at the highest levels of office. This simply is a continuation of crimes against humanity.

Victims were men & women, teenagers with dreams &ambitions. But they were arrested, interrogated, &hanged after yrs of torture
Today, 31yrs after #1988massacre, world still doesn't know extent of this crime. Meanwhile, Iranian regime continues to kill civilians on a massive scale
