Only 10 days have passed since Brexit. But already just about all the fine words of the Brexiters have unravelled... They're not even *pretending to pretend* to try any more. Goes to show that "leaving the EU at any price" was the grand prize.
40 trade deals? We meant none.
No friction? We meant full border controls, sending delays and red tape crashing down on businesses like an avalanche.

The thing that surprised me most was the speed at which they appear willing to close off all avenues other than diamond-hard Brexit. We're 11 days into our new life outside the EU, and that's basically the only thing still on the table.
It's the difference between warning of forest fires, and watching people airdrop petrol and flares across vast swathes of bone-dry timber...
