The story of Brexit changed completely at 11pm on 31 January.

Up until that point, we could theoretically have cancelled the whole thing.

Now we can't, no matter how bad it gets. Leaving the EU doesn't come with a rewind button.

This is what we lost in the blink of an eye...
But just because we're stuck with Brexit, that doesn't magically make Brexit a good idea. It's exactly as bad as it ever was. Worse, in fact, because we took the escape hatch off the table.

Those that complain about Remainers failing to "get behind Brexit" are missing the point.
Why should we cheerlead something terrible? Why should we pretend that bad is good, disaster is opportunity, narrow-mindedness is freedom?

Brexiters have never made a proper case for what happens beyond the "leave the EU" moment. But it's all the rest that determines our future.
