First we heard about this:
"Iranian man accused of violating US sanctions & detained in Germany has been freed and has returned to Iran after diplomatic efforts by Tehran, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said on Monday."
The man flew home with Zarif.

Then this:
"Iran has freed a German citizen sentenced to three years in jail, the Iranian judiciary said on Tuesday, a day after Tehran said a detained Iranian accused of violating U.S. sanctions had returned home from Germany."

#Iran's IRGC has a long history of kidnapping foreigners & dual nationals to pursue foreign policy objectives.
Here it is quite interesting to see Germany, a NATO member & ally of the U.S., send to Iran a man accused of violating U.S. sanctions.
Another case of appeasement.
