Some of you believe the "fair" thing is for all DEM candidates to agree whoever gets most delegates pre-convention - even if not enough to be declared nominee automatically - should be given the nomination.

On the surface, that does indeed sound very fair. Here's why it's not...
We have multiple candidates running. Only two are "progressive" & one more so than the other. What's going to happen is the far-left vote is going to go to Bernie, while the other half-dozen candidates are going to split the "moderate" vote.
If we had 2 candidates - Bernie vs. "Moderate," it would indeed be fair. In fact, one would get enough delegates to make this a non-issue.

If Bernie gets most delegates pre-Convention, it doesn't mean majority of DEMS want him. It means majority couldn't decide which moderate.
Think of this way - let's say 70% of DEMS want a moderate candidate and 30% want a far-left progressive. Bernie's gonna grab most of that 30%, while other 7 or so (not even sure who's still in) split that 70% and get 10% each. Does that mean majority want Bernie? Of course not.
