1/ I'm still in awe at how the localised emergency message service is currently working in S. Korea re: coronavirus

In Hwaseong just now, the first case of coronavirus was just beamed to every phone in the area. It tells people brief details but asks to visit city website or FB. Image
2/ The Facebook page is showing every single detail. 31 y.o. male, working in Kwonseon District. Visited Gumi on biz trip on Feb 21-22. Had fever. Visited hospital. House disinfected. Etc etc. Once further details are confirmed will reveal his exact route. ImageImageImage
3/ Meanwhile, the Hwaseong website is being a bit buggy right now, probably overloaded, but still, it presents information on the situation. Image
4/ This is not just in Hwaseong but throughout the entire country. It's difficult not to know what's going on, and whether a citizen may have been in the path of an infected person.
5/ Meanwhile, if in doubt, the KCDC telephone number is being repeated through every single channel possible, be it TV, radio, adverts in street, subway and bus announcements, social media etc.

Available in multiple languages.
6/ People who want to get tested can get tested. South Korean authorities are even setting up drive through testing stations.
7/ This doesn't mean it's rosy on the ground, doctors and nurses are working tirelessly day and night. They are complaining of lack of equipment etc. Yes numbers are surging in South Korea, but thousands of people are being tested, daily.
8/ It very much seems like South Korean authorities are doing everything possible to catch every single virus infection out there.

No system is perfect. But I only imagine things would be much worse if there was no (transparent) information at all.
