Media starting to wake up that this was never about President Trump. They have been spying on politicians, not just presidential candidates for decades. To rig elections & control what happens in Washington DC.

@meangeneone1 By framing #Spygate as being about @realDonaldTrump & about only the 2016 election, it feeds into 2 opposing narratives. Dems will ignore it because they think spying on Trump was OK. Republicans will only look at that narrow snapshot rather than the big picture. 
It may also explain why I sometimes get hostile responses for mentioning that the spying upon Carter Page gave access to metadata on everyone withing 2 hops of Page, covering almost everyone in politics in DC.

Some people feel the need to make this all about Trump. When in reality, this is about 40 years of spying on candidates, probably judges, prosecutors, DOJ & FBI personnel too.

Some of the spying has been crude, like Craig Livingstone 'accidentally' requesting hundreds of FBI files on Republicans who served in the GHW Bush Admin.
Or several cases of spying on passport files, from Bush officials doing it to Clinton to Brennan's contractors in 2008.

Eventually folks will realize that the CIA & others have been putting their thumb on the scale to lean politics to where they want it. Whether it is wanting the invasion or Iraq, or wanting to blame Bush & Cheney for the CIA's bad intel on Iraq...
And we keep seeing the same people returning again & again to these scandals.

We even have one Democrat politician talking about it...
