As with many of the #ButNothingsHappening cases, they involve other agencies leading or cooperating in the cases. In this case the Postal Service OIG.
Sandoz is the 3rd company charged with crimes in this case, with more to go. They have chosen to not publish the names of the companies that have not been indicted or plead guilty yet....
As with many other cases with Trump's DOJ, the companies are agreeing to cooperate & hand over the evidence. Then the executives face charges too, with 3 of the 4 charged having plead guilty already. But cases like this will lead to more people.
Fines for corporations in this case cap at $100M per count, but may go higher if the profits or losses to victims is higher. Then the cap is double the profit or loss related to the case.
Novartis may be facing some larger issues than this though. A few month ago, Greek authorities were questioning 15 of their execs in a corruption probe too.
Novartis is also one of those companies that tried to buy some access to the Trump Administration during the transition period & early days of the presidency.
