It’s not a surprise that an activist investor is looking to remove @jack as CEO of @Twitter, he’s done plenty of things to invite criticsim, but it is worth noting- Paul Singer is not JUST an activist investor (cont)
2/ He is a Republican mega-donor who has very publicly rebuked democratic socialism.
At the same time, while @realDonaldTrump has expertly harnessed the power of the platform, he & the GOP have accused @Twitter of having a left leaning bias
3/ Unlike @facebook, @jack has refused to allow political advertising on @twitter (outside super pacs).
That kind of advertising will have a huge impact on the 2020 election &
4/ It’s an election Singer cares a lot about- having said
"They call it socialism, but it is more accurately described as left-wing statism lubricated by showers of free stuff promised by politicians who believe that money comes from a printing press rather than the productive...
5/ efforts of business people & workers. “
Many experts have said this election be won or lost on social media.
Given all of the above, should we explore the idea that this could be motivated by more than just “jack wants to move to Africa”
