You know how we always long for God to reveal himself to us? Today, I was reading John 14:9 and it dawned on me that every time Jesus interacted with me through his Word, he was revealing God to me.
God was opening up to me, while I was busy looking for something that isn't missing.
I need to reframe the time I spend with God's Word. Instead of seeing it as reading my Bible or looking for answers; I should think of it as spending time with God and being in his presence. I should enjoy the speaker and not just cherish what is being spoken.

Let me trouble you.
When we were younger, we were taught that scripture contained everything we needed to know about God. It became a formular of sorts. We input the right scripture and just the right amount of faith to get what we want. If we don't get it, then we are the problem, not God.
Through scripture we were told we could also predict God's actions.

If someone doesn't want to be with you, there's nothing you can do. As nice and as resource enabled as God is, until I made a conscious decision to develop a relationship with him, there was nothing he could do.
As long as people think you're an option; as long as they don't NEED you, you don't have an intimate relationship yet.
I use the word NEED deliberately. I need God. That's why I prioritise him. See ehn, if the world wants to scatter it can, but those minutes I spend everyday talking to God are essential. I depend on those conversations to shape my life. So God is woven into me. He's not an option
