Some good news and bad news from the China virus.
The bad news is that Iran is seeing a very high death rate on those cases being reported. 4.4%
China on numbers reported also showing about a 3.6% death rate.
However on the good news
SK is showing only a 0.5% death rate

While Europe is showing about a 1.8%.
Hard to take any findings away from this but SK actively tested 200,000 people for the virus so they are probably the best numbers to find the mild cases.

It's early in the SK outbreak yet but if their numbers hold up it will be very good news as it will be about the same as the typical flu season. It also does look like the death rate is impacted by healthcare systems and environmental conditions as expected.
Finally, it's a very small sample size but so far the USA (2 deaths out of 74) is showing a 2.7% death rate. But it's even earlier than the SK and Italy clusters so too soon to make any real determinations.
More good news China has announced it's set to close it's 1st makeshift hospital amid a sharp decline of new cases and after the rest of the patients recovered showing that the virus is winding down in China.
