Wondering if there is a connection to last summer's guilty plea by Microsoft for foreign bribery cases.
Seems they were using 3rd party vendors to sell licenses to conceal & buffer themselves from the bribes their 3rd parties are paying. But Microsoft was giving them the cushion

If Gates is in any legal trouble, it has nothing to do with any of the fairy tales being spread.
It would have to do with software licensing issues. This is a very Swampy business & Microsoft got busted over the summer. Microsoft was using 3rd party vendors to pay kickbacks.

The guilty plea was for bribing govt. officials in Hungary to buy MS licenses for their agencies. But it happens all over the world. The feds currently spend about $9B a year on software they don't even use. State & local govts another $9B and that is just for products never used
They use the same style of 3rd party vendors in US govt. sales. Microsoft was caught allowing vendors a discount on licenses so that the vendors could use the discount to cover bribes & kickbacks. Very likely the same thing is going on in the US & every country around the world.
Here is a thread on the case in Hungary, they escaped justice on a similar case with school software licenses in Romania a few years ago.
