There's some evidence that the people Trump listens to (mainly Fox News) are divided on coronavirus -- with one wing wanting to take a full social darwinist approach (let the disease run wild to extinguish itself quickly for sake of economy). This is a real danger.
The good news is that Trump doesn't have the power to lift the quarantines (it's handled by governors and mayors). Even Republican governors will be reluctant to do this. The bad news is if Trump goes anti-quarantine his many supporters will listen to him.
It's long been obvious that Trump was running a cult. The question now is if it's a death cult.
