This strategy helps you work on your immediate network for a quick inflow of cash into your business.

It is best used for new business or new product launches

It also works best with physical products but there is no rule that says you cannot use it for services.

It is often referred to as the Market Research Strategy.

It involves the use of 2 sets of text messages to be sent to friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances...

I often say anyone in your phone book contact.

SMS 1
[First Name] I just started a new business and could really use your help. It’s very simple. Reply me so I can send you some more details

Example
Hey Tope, I just started a new business and could really use your help. It’s very simple. Reply me so I can send you some more details

Yes, you usually wait for a response. Because they know you, you will most likely get a positive response.

Once you get a response, send the next text.

SMS 2
I need 10 trial customers to give me feedback [product name]. I would like you to buy [number of product unit], use it for at least 30 days. Your honest feedback can help me market more successfully.

It’s cost [state amount] and this includes delivery. Can I count on you to be one of my 10?

The responses your likely to get is
YES
NO
YES but not now.

If it’s a yes, then you need follow up until they pay. Sometimes the yes might come with a “remind me in a couple of days

Here is an example of how I handled that.

For this to be effective, I always advise to begin with a contact list of a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 100.

Remember they have to be people who know you well enough to respond.

Yes you can use it on WhatsApp and Facebook (like I did) but I always advise use SMS
