If #NATO is the cornerstone of the #West's "foreign" policy? How about its members and informal allies? Do they behave as true allies? Are Western interests and values being protected?

#Sweden fears an attack by #Russia, and so does #Ukraine. #Taiwan fears an attack by #China. #Armenia fears an attack by both #Azerbaijan and #Turkey. The latter threatens its #NATO ally #Greece but also the #EU-member #Cyprus part of which is under its illegal control. 2/10

#Russia again via #Belarus reminds #Europe (as #Turkey does day in day out) that energy is not the only mean in its arsenal to destablize it - mass inflow of illegal immigrants is as effective - so #Poland like #Greece is fortifying its borders. 3/10

#Britain fears an attack by no one, neither does #Germany nor #France, #Spain or the #Netherlands, but putting on the hat (and the mask) of the "righteous", they all make sure to meddle in every pond - more than often against the interests of their own Western allies. 4/10

#Turkey again threatens #Israel, supports #Hamas and #Hezbollah, #ISIS and #Iran, buys weapons and develops an "informal" alliance with #Russia, against #NATO's interests, slaughters #US allies-against-ISIS-only #Kurds. It also developed an "informal" alliance with #China. 5/10

But this doesn't stop #NATO, the #US, the #UK or the #EU, #Germany, #Italy, #Spain, #France - to not only appease #Turkey, but they all one way or another make sure to strengthen #Turkey militarily and geopolitically. Seems also, that #Israel is considering, to do the same. 6/10

The #US and the #EU as institutions? They live their own love and hate affair. And that would be OK if they were lovers, but they are not. They are allies. As allies, one would expect that they at least had a coherent "enemy" policy, and had at least each other's back. But, 7/10

But, how could they, when the #EU, itself does not have a coherent foreign policy? Or when the #US undermines itself and #NATO by allowing projects like #NordStream or "forbids" other like the #EastMed? Or when both the EU and the US launch a trade war against each other? 8/10

No doubt, the Western alliance network is the strongest advantage the #West has at its disposal!

Can an alliance maintain and intensify though its stipulated role and objectives if it continues to give way the "whims" of renegade allies? Is it a sound policy? 9/10

Aren't renegade allies slowly killing #NATO and the #West from with in?

Can there be an alliance if it is based on totally opposite in principle "dogmas"?
