Whichever way there are two problems. Circumventing Barnier and going to Member States won’t help. Looks like trying to undermine him. (4/7)
Second, Member States know what 🇬🇧 position is (based on Florence Speech) and it’s not enough. No way to break deadlock by trying to (5/7)
divide 🇪🇺, or trying to explain. 🇬🇧 needs more generous or more creative solutions, or needs to shift its position. No sign of that. (6/7)
Plus May & Davis have v little room for manoeuvre as May’s govt so weak and majority so narrow. No way out of this maze. (7/7)
