Donors don't like Trump's unpredictability and incompetence. They want good soldiers who march as ordered, not a cranky toddler that throws tantrums and can make their stock drop with a tweet

every rich donor & non-deplorable knows Trump is mentally ill, can not be trusted. Getting a "not insane" POTUS there and having competent guys in the WH is not something only Dems want. They want it too, for evil reasons.

They want someone in the WH that can reliably appoint Gorsuch clones to the SCOTUS. That can help, not hinder their next legislative looting of US. They are tired of all the energy and time spent putting out Trump's self-inflicted fires. Someone they can trust. Trump is not it

The truth is, no one likes Trump. Not even his 33%. They loved Sarah Palin. They will love anyone they get told to love, by Bannon, Russia and by Fox /Hannity.
Also, yesterday made it pretty clear, the donors are not worried about the 33% now. They only need them every 2 years

If POTUS Ryan gets sworn in by July, there's time enough to get the #NeverTrump back. Perhaps even enough time to spin Trump's fall into a betrayal by Obama. Knife in the back narratives are a great hit with the 33% crowd. Plenty of time to spin a new idol for the 33% for 2020

I could never understand why Ryan was still keeping the house committee on Russia going. Why didn't they fire Mueller? I mean if they had any scruples (ha!) then why let Trump get away with so much? We know they don't so why did Ryan and Mitch keep the Mueller charade going?

Made absolutely no sense! Until Friday when Mueller nailed both Trump and Pence. Who is next in line? Ryan. Then I realized I have just witnessed an episode of game of thrones in RL. To Ryan there was absolutely no downside to act as he did: Mueller fails? Ryan looks honest

Ryan shows integrity (ha!) by keeping Mueller and used Mueller to keep Trump in line. You will notice Trump hasn't dared sass Ryan in ages Trump told Ryan to give him the names of house goppies refusing to sign the Kill ACA, Ryan told him no. Trump didn't dare to insist on it

If Mueller had failed to turn up evidence, Ryan could always spin it: I vindicated Trump... It was the Dems obsession with Russia... etc...
Now that Mueller's got the goods, Ryan will be POTUS. As his donors want. As a lot in Congress want: a reliable GOPie to deal with

So what remains is to see how the 33% deplorables will take the news. But I for one am convinced even them are tired of Trump. He has gotten them no legal victories and a lot of humiliation. IMHO they are as thin-skinned as Trump and the constant Trump fails are taking a toll

I for one am betting that their weariness at defending an obviously incompetent POTUS allied to GOP donors putting their spin machine in full blast will get them to fall in line with POTUS Ryan really fast It will be a typical "The King is dead, all hail the new king"
