1) QUICK THREAD on Mueller Probe

The news that Rick Gates is cuttin' a deal with Mueller is sendin' shock-waves through the Trump admin today. Gates should have valuable evidence against Trump directly and will possibly flip Manafort in the bargain.

2) Last week, we predicted possible plea deals on the run-up to Trump's interview and we got a big one yesterday in Rick Gates!
3) Mueller is clearly signalin' he's comin' in hot after Trump for Obstruction of Justice. But this is puzzlin' a lot of folks when you consider conspiracy with the Russians, espionage and money launderin' seem like such bigger crimes.
4) The reason is simple. Mueller is movin' on Obstruction first because it is the quick kill-shot that knocks Trump off his throne and gets him out of office. Once Trump is a regular citizen, he's more vulnerable to prosecution in other venues such as NY for his other crimes.
5) Until Trump is out of office, there's a number of legal obstacles to hurdle to indict a sittin' president. Once Trump's out, the law becomes pretty straight-forward.
6) Mueller is tellin' us he knows the depth of Trump's crimes and he's tryin' to negate Trump's negative effects on our democracy as quickly as possible.
7) Expect a bunch of fireworks as the time for Trump's interview draws near. Putin's bots and their cohorts in the GOP house are workin' overtime to vilify our law enforcement institutions to protect Trump.
8) Trump and Putin will not go without a fight, but rest assured, the Truth will have it's day and evil will not prevail. <Pain out>
PS/Mueller will lead with obstruction, but will be droppin' other bombs along the way to build a strong public opinion that Trump is way more guilty than obstruction. The should encourage the House to move on impeachment or face devastation in 2018.

Thread 1) According to this poll, you overwhelmingly believe that Mueller knew Manafort was lying when he asked for the extension 10 days ago. The extension was billed as an opportunity to provide information that would aide in better sentencing Manafort.

2) This would have given Manafort (and any other interested party) the impression that Mueller was believin’ the lies and all was well.
3) During this 10 day extension, Trump finalized his answers to Mueller’s written questions and Mueller had opportunity to review them.

Here’s Tea Pain’s idea for a winnin’ strategy in 2020 in the event Trump survives till then. Dems nominate Joe Biden, but Joe makes an immutable campaign promise of ONE TERM only. This negates the argument about Joe’s age bein’ a concern.
2) Joe picks a risin’ Dem superstar such as Kamala Harris, Joe Kennedy or, dare Tea say it? Michele Obama.

Joe would be the seasoned, experienced leader to combat Trump’s chaotic reign of embarrassment and the young Dem superstar would invigorate the youth vote.
3). The risin’ Dem superstar would be perfectly positioned to take the reins after Joe keeps his one-term promise and the Dems would hold power for a 12-year stint givin’ time for the old racist Trumpers to fade into history.

While a Corsi indictment is imminent, and a Stone indictment at some point very likely, the fact that #MIchaelCohen is in the picture today indicates instead that he is likely in DC to appear as a witness against #DonJr, not Stone or Corsi. 2/

Manafort and Gates lobbied in the US for Kremlin-linked oligarchs & political parties for a decade, but before their scorched earth, divisive GOP politics inflamed a regional war, they went on a secret diplomatic offensive on behalf of their client, kleptocrat Victor Yanukovych.
Manafort founded the European Center for a Modern Ukraine to be a secret western lobbying front group for Yanukovych.

For obvious reasons, his kleptocratic client had a perception problem, i.e. reality.

Yanukovych is Putin's vassal.

Manafort hid his involvement for years.
