Trump said tonight that he had no idea what ANWR was - “Who cares? What is that?” - until a friend in the oil business called and asked him if it was in the tax bill, then told him Reagan and Bush couldn’t get that passed, and then he said “I love it now” and fought for it. 
(Be skeptical of any Trump story that involves an unnamed friend, but quite a story to tell, true or false.)
Trump made two false claims almost at once tonight: he said Republicans were "5 and 0" in congressional special elections until they lost the PA-18 race by a mere "300 votes."

Trump brings back some Obama-era Republican nonsense: "For the last eight years, Democrats apologized for America. Republicans, on the other hand, are standing up for America."
"It's been a little bit of change of position." Repeating one of his favourite recent lies, Trump, who cancelled DACA, claims Democrats "don't want DACA" and he does:
Trump midterm message: "If the Democrats ever got back into power, they would vote to raise your taxes; release dangerous criminals; open your borders; shut down this great surge of American energy that is tremendous for jobs," "take over" healthcare, "take away your 2nd Amndmt."
Trump again singled out Rep. Maxine Waters, a Black woman, to call her stupid: "The Democrats think they're invincible. I mean, I watch this Maxine Waters. You ever see Maxine Waters? (Laughter.) A low-IQ individual. (Applause.) Low-IQ."
For the 14th time in office, Trump falsely said tonight that the Electoral College is biased against Republicans: "We have a tremendous disadvantage in presidential elections with the Electoral College."
For the 5th time in office, Trump wrote George W. Bush's big tax cuts out of history to make his own tax cuts sound more historic.
Finally and most importantly: with the choice of any name in the world to punctuate a story about the VA tonight, Trump picked..."Jim." Hmmmmm.
