There is going to be much about how this is a right-wing smear. And it is opportunistic. The Times knows that there is now a market for stories about Labour antisemitism. Thing is, we've been tweeting about this for months & months. It is news, but it's been ignored. 1/
"The" Labour Party Forum is moderated properly. The rest are cesspits. Antisemitic discourse is standard fare. As they are all echo chambers, there is little dissent. When I joined Labour Party Forum (LPF) 16k members this was the first thing I saw.

The scary thing is many of the moderators/admins of these forums share and antisemitic articles too so they can't moderate the forums. the "Zionists" compared to Nazis everyday, antisemitic conspiracy theories, Rothschilds, Holocaust abuse. 3/

Real genuine antisemites, who are rare, flocked to these forums looking for new recruits. It's what racists do. This guy posted memes like this on LPF for a year. Only when we made a fuss on Twitter was he removed. People weren't objecting to this filth. It was invisible. /4
With so many people ignorant of antisemitism but angry with Jews re: antisemitism "smears" it makes a very fertile breeding ground for antisemitic discourse to fester and grow. A whole culture of it has blossomed in these Labour forums over two years. 5/

Some of the racism is not comparable to much outside the far-right. The level of it. Its intensity. On open view from many party members. Encouraged. All of it in Jeremy Corbyn's name. (people have hard drives full of the stuff.) I saw L. Berger called a "cancer" the other day. 6
There's no excusing it as "crazy internet groups" They are full of party members, have a picture of Jeremy Corbyn on, and are full of hatred for Jewish people. It's amazing that it's not been news until now. This guy even talked about boycotting Jewish PEOPLE. 7/
The party has to find ways of educating people about antisemitism. Quickly and urgently. But so much of this is far too late. 30% of members believe antisemitism is completetly made up as an issue. Which means they all believe in a conspiracy theory: starring... Jews. 8/
it's why you end up with things like Birkenhead CLP refusing diversity training from Jewish Labour Movement because they have "possible links to ISIS and Israeli government." Sounds perfectly normal in this world. And it will continue. Corbyn will struggle to stop it now. /9
Conpiracy theories are unfalsifiable. Any evidence given to contradict the theory reinforces it. Labour are in such a terrible mess with antisemitism.

This guy said asked "when will Jews stop bleating like spoilt little children" - fourteen people LIKED that comment. 10/
Hundreds saw it. No one objected. Why? How has an antisemitic culture developed where this is happening? Those are the questions that people need to ask themselves, particularly those that have stayed quiet until now. They've left it very late.
