1/ Hard-right Brextremist liar @michaelgove has claimed that the UK has "the most liberal attitude to migration of an European country" on the radio today.

It's such an extraordinary lie.

Take refugees - per capita we take far fewer than loads of other European nations.

2/ Take bureaucracy. British immigration fees are amongst the highest in the world, let alone Europe.

Then the British government stands accused of rejecting applications on trivialities in order to rake in even more fees for the re-applications.

3/ Take Theresa May's vile Faragist 'hostile environment' policy that created an environment so hostile that it ended up dehumanising denying work, social security & health, and even threatening imprisonment and deportation of British #Windrush citizens.

4/ Take the hostile press environment. How can anyone claim Britain has a liberal attitude to migration when migrants who live here are bombarded with hostile hate-mongering bile like this on a daily basis?

Another example. Here's a cartoon in Britain's 2nd biggest circulation newspaper comparing refugees to rats in the exact same way the Nazis compared Jewish refugees to rats in the 1930s.

6/ Then there's the soaring levels of hate crime against immigrants since the Brexit vote. Just this week a Spanish woman was brutally assaulted on the tube for speaking Spanish.

Imagine if Brits in Spain were attacked for not speaking Spanish!

7/ Take the fact that a post-Brexit survey found that almost a quarter of Brexit voters (over 4 million people) believe that EU citizens in the UK should be forcibly repatriated. That's 4 million outright fascists living amongst us.

8/ Take the fact that the Tory government has insisted on cynically treating the lives of #the3million EU migrants in the UK as disposable bargaining chips in the EU negotiations, rather than offering them an immediate unilateral guarantee of rights and residency.

9/ Take the fact that Michael Gove's own party is intent on subsuming the extreme-right ultranationalist immigrant-hating UKIP demographic, and that without this deliberate blue-kip strategy they would have lost the 2017 General Election entirely.

10/ Take the fact that the UK government are so hostile to immigrants that they imposed the highest spouse visas income requirements in the world.

11/ Also consider the fact that British people who fail to meet these harsh income requirements are forced to live in exile from the UK.

The British government hates immigrants so much that it forces thousands of its own citizens to live in exile to keep them out!

12/ Back at the 2017 General Election Gove himself was absolutely desperate to double the immigration skills surcharge, despite not even knowing how much it actually is!

13/ Michael Gove's lie is so bold, and so brazen that it's impossible that he expects anyone to believe it.

It seems a lot like another Tory attempt to gaslight the public by saying something so completely unreal we begin to question our own sanity.
