What is the Fear of Success and how to deal with that?

Had today a zoom chat with @TheFamilyAlpha and the boys.
One of the men has a nice side gig that produces cash for him, a business with some great potential, but the owner decided that he doesn't want it to become "too big"

When someone is afraid to go "Big" it usually an indicator of fear of success. It doesn't sound like it makes sense.

Why would someone afraid to be successful?

Mindset issue.
The focus is not on the benefits and profits. It's on the hardship and challenges.

How to deal with that?

1- Focus on the positives, not the negatives

2- You're thinking about problems you don't yet have. If you don't have them, how would you know how to solve them? Cross that bridge when you get there. You'll have more information, skills, and capabilities.

3- Remember that when your business grows to the point of those challenges, you will grow as a person too.
The person you are today might not be capable of dealing with those challenges, but the person you will be 3 years down the road might tackle all of it very easily.

Think big, plan big and go conquer your life.

Focus on the positives and enjoy the journey, you'll tackle the challenges once they appear, no need to focus on that now.
