BREAKING: Manafort Jury Reaches Verdict on 8 of 18 Counts, Deadlocked on Others
2/ 3 things: First, we don't know what the count is on the other 10 charges, i.e. it could be one hold-out for acquittal or multiple hold-outs; second, if he's found guilty on 8 of 18 counts, he's still going to be in prison a long time; third, they'll get another "Allen charge."
3/ An Allen charge tells the jury to keep working and that the court expects them to reach a unanimous verdict. Usually there will be 2-3 Allen charges before the judge accepts the jury will be hung on those particular charges. He can still sentence Manafort on any convictions.
4/ The BREAKING NEWS is that there is at least one conviction. I suspect there are more than that.
