I'm going to quick rehash some questions which must be asked next week when Sheryl Sandberg is under oath for the first time. Sandberg is the key operator connecting Facebook's comms, $$$ and lobbying efforts. She was the unmentioned exec in a lot of the @CommonsCMS hearing.
They definitely need to ask Sandberg about timing of the breach. Zuckerberg testified Facebook took immediate action to get certification the data was deleted when in fact it took more than year.
I also want to know the exact timeline of who knew what and when per @KamalaHarris questions to Zuck. There are questions in here considering CA audit showing FB didn't contact for more than 6 months and may have known prior to Guardian report.
Congress has never asked FB under oath about Joseph Chancellor. It's been nearly six months since FB finally started to investigate him. Nearly 2yrs since press flagged him. @IanCLucas @CommonsCMS have done best job at asking ?s here. Answer them.
I would also ask Sandberg about the mysterious purge of millions of fake accounts in April 2017. Here is a thread on it.
Senate needs to ask Sandberg about the timeline on Cambridge Analytica and who knew what and when. Here is @SenKamalaHarris Q&A with Zuckerberg, @JoStevensLabour with CTO of Facebook. It's clearly an opportunity/need for a follow-up. cc @karaswisher
Reminder Facebook hasn't been asked under oath about their whitelist deals for data which @dseetharaman reported on after the last hearings.
It's also worth re-reading the @RMac18 report from the spring again as one tries to understand how Facebook has acted upon their exposure by the press.
