The People are addicted to chaos, to outrage, and feel the incessant need to always be right. The People are diverted from FACTS and are directed to a subjective 'TRUTH' that facts do not bear out.
The People refuse to assimilate new information and incorporate it into their worldview out of fear that they might be wrong or mistaken about issues. Meanwhile, they're goaded into bickering about issues to which their understanding is severely limited and superficial.
Media and politics is a mind game being played ON the masses and they take the bait continually, as they know nothing else. They're led to believe in their 'team,' their 'color,' whether red or blue, and cannot see that they're being played like drums.
The small minority of individuals who do think for themselves, who do their due diligence to understand the world in which they live are rendered powerless by the herd mentality of the collective, the majority of cuckolded masses.
We bicker and we sling verbal shit on each other like monkeys over things that don't matter, there is no concept of the fundamental principles which once made this country great, like UNITY of thought and action.
We work hard - 50 to 60 hour weeks just to give close to half the money we earn back to government for the permission to be free and enjoy liberty, while we're too fatigued to tend to our children, to teach them principles and become viable citizens with voice and power.
This has been the way since Eisenhower's warning, long forgotten and unheeded. Our economy is now addicted to war and sequestration without representation, as without these things, economy would fail and prosperity would be lost.
The American culture is rife with deception and denial - we follow the lead of our elected representatives, who don't seem to care to represent the people, institutions, and corporations which are necessary to maintain our status quo.
Meanwhile, the People maintain a positive, upbeat attitude, only looking for the good, in complete denial of the larger, so-called 'negative' aspects of this modern world in the hopes that it will all just go away.
Our denial of the 'negative' the inaction and apathy toward it over time has led us to where we are, most of whom do not care to understand the reality. Passive complicity, implied consent, dutiful compliance, patriotic adherence to a legal system too complicated to understand...
...or navigate for themselves leaves the people between a rock and a hard place, unconsciously understanding that from here there is no remedy but a complete tear-down and rebuild of the social and political structure.
People who see things for what they really are are called 'crazy' or 'conspiracy theorists' by those with no historical perspective, who believe that football and beer, jetskis and bigscreens is what freedom and liberty means.
Education is no longer about knowledge or life skills, just 'job skills' and the ability to gain paychecks to buy things to provide us with comfort and entertainment, and the ignorance to the fact that apathy is destroying this country.
Even those who are 'politically active' seem to believe that their civic function is to disagree with the opposing team and to sling the arrows of rhetoric, believing that is the way to change things for the better.
Self-deception, deep denial, frustration and anger borne of fear of the known but unacknowledged, and the unknown prospects for our future create a paralysis of thought and action only to be unhinged in the form of futile revolt forthcoming.
Once the fake revolt of social media is exhausted out of fruitlessness, the streets will become the battleground. Buy a helmet.
