I am not here to bicker or sling personal insults. I am here to remain fact based and unemotional, and will argue isses based on facts. I don't care about 'truth,' yours or mine. Facts got us into this mess, and those very same facts are going to get us out.
If you belong to #TrollNation, if you can't present a cogent argument with supporting facts, if you're unwilling to accept facts and incorporate them into your view of reality, your 'truth,' if you deny facts out of hand prior to investigation, I haven't the time to waste.
I don't care if you believe what or how I believe, I don't care if your vision of the future is different from mine, I don't care what you do with your hair or your genitals. I don't care where you live or where you're from, or if or to which God you pray.
I care if you are unthinking, superficial, apathetic, reactionary, overemotional, but I also care if you're uninformed, confused, unsure of the future, or even scared of it. But mostly I just care whether or not you give a damn about the place you live and those around you.
When I see people arguing so intensely that they are driven to an almost juvenile mindset when opposed, so much so that everyone becomes a stupid douche, libtard, NAZI, what have you, it just shows me how much people really care about where they live and those around them.
I'm not going to even try to make the point that we ourselves have had a hand in where this path has led us, though the argument is solid. The only point want to make is that if we're going to change, we can't do it divided.
The time to solve our problems with politics or the debate thereof has passed. When we now discuss politics, we discuss crime, impropriety, greed, corruption. We are discussing ethics, and how others' decisions affect not only American's lives, but lives around the world.
As far as internet tribalism goes, and the battles that ensue, it's an infiltration of your own kind, your own neigbors, doctors, school teachers, family, coworkers, etc. Who are you angry with? Properly identify targets. It's no accident that values and beliefs are polarized.
I have a bone to pick with those who knowingly and willingly spread disinformation, either to support their own truth, or to spread it to others who may be unwitting of facts surrounding issues. I have a soft spot for those unwitting ones who are taken by the lies and emotion.
I have a bone to pick with American institutions and corporations who use their influence over the beliefs and opinions of the People, and who cherry pick, obfuscate, minimalize, and marginalize facts in order to push not their own agendas, but the agendas of the highest bidders.
I take serious issue with some of the things government presumes to do with American's hard-earned money, not on the premise of accountability and responsibility to the people it serves, only on the premise of 'implied consent,' an oxymoron of the first order.
I don't follow based on viewpoints, affiliations, political leanings, or agendas, I follow on the basis of coursing blood and opposable thumbs. I'll follow all who follow me, but will unfollow on the basis of whether or not one is a troll for trolling's sake, or is a namecaller.
