Many people are remarking on the absurdity and hypocrisy of Republicans close to President Trump complaining about civility and bully, but I cannot get over the cruelty of people who do so much to harm people, with so much power, playing the victim all the time.
President Trump enacted a Muslim travel ban that has destroyed lives & permanently separated families. Republicans spent 2017 trying to eliminate healthcare for 25-40 million, failing, they started sabotaging the market instead. Now they are after preexisting condition coverage.
President Trump backed Nazis, actual Nazis. Then, Republicans ripped children from their parents, putting them into cages, and now they are allowing some of these children to be put up for adoption. Now, Republicans are encouraging hatred towards victims of sexual assault.
It's hypocritical & absurd for Republicans to talk about bullying & civility, but more important it's a cruel joke on all of the people that they use full power of the US to inflict pain upon. Not for national security or economic reasons, but to stoke ethno-nationalistic hate.
