Currently listening to my dad talk about George Soros and Hillary Clinton funding antifa and how he regrets voting for Obama twice and how other nations are mad that Trump is bringing jobs back to America...

Apparently Obama kissed NAFTA's ass. I think he meant NATO but we went into a discussion about nafta simply being renamed with worse conditions for the average supplier.

He says government stats we're fudged to make it seem like Obama was good & something about trans bathrooms.

Also imagine this.

After myself and my mother HE is the 3rd most liberal in our large family.... The rest are twice as conservative.

Point of clarification.

I tell these stories for a good reason.

I still love my dad and he does a lot for me.

However the point is that anyone can fall for propaganda when they see it enough.

Like I said, of his brothers HE is the "liberal one" by comparison.

I remember having to scream "fuck Nazis and fuck you if you support them" at a family gathering when one of them said "Hitlers only mistake was losing."

I'm getting through to him. I told him let's stop with Trump vs Clinton and social issues and talk economics.

What does a tax break for your boss do for you? You're Union, you love unions, they're trying to take them away.

How does the bathroom someone uses affect you? Nobody is dressing up like a woman to molest people you're being lied to.

He's starting to understand.

He's seeing more and more that he's being mislead against his own interests with fear mongering and lies. Outright lies.

I honestly don't think that many of them hate other people as much as they just believe bullshit lies.

He really thinks Trump is helping African Americans and says how great of a thing that is, and that Obama did nothing for them...
