As I mentioned last week, I wanted to put some new/old material out as a way to say thanks to everyone who has supported 'Extremism' so far. The following thread is a major document dump. amzn.to/2MhXwgQ
Some background: As many of you know, I got started working on terrorism and related fields by doing OSINT from FOIA documents and court records. Over the years. I have acquired thousands of documents, even as my list of to-do projects has been growing like kudzu.
Many of these documents have been published on INTELWIRE.com over the year, but as I got busier and busier, maintaining the website's document archive in a usable format has become more work than I can handle.
So in the tweets that follow, and more in the weeks/months to come, will contain two types of documents: First, previously published docs that have become unfindable over the years. Second, documents I was saving for a rainy day that it is now clear will never come.
So without further ado, I will post fresh links to this material, hosted on archive.org, with more to come in the short- to mid-term future.
Click here for all of the thousands of pages of declassified FBI documents cited in the 9/11 Commission report, obtained by FOIA, organized by chapter in which the citation occurred archive.org/details/102205…
State Department documents cited in the 9/11 report, organized by date archive.org/details/StateD…
CIA documents cited in the 9/11 report, 355 pages, unorganized archive.org/details/CIA911…
9/11 Commission Memoranda for the Record, organized by date of interview archive.org/details/200401…
Some of you may remember I tried to publish/sell some primary document Sourcebooks some time back. This was more trouble than it was worth. Four of the most-requested can be found here, and probably more later. archive.org/details/Intelw…
At the same link, you can find two previously unreleased document collections: FBI docs on Anwar Awlaki (1700-ish pages) and State Department docs on Abu Musab al Zarqawi (500ish, but possibly with duplications) archive.org/details/Intelw…
There will be more. I have to make some tough decisions about projects I have long cherished, for which I have never found the right time and outlet to publish. I will be assessing those in the weeks to come, and likely publishing at least half of those, if not all.
Ultimately, I am not going to let important primary sources sit on my hard drive if I don't realistically expect that I will use them in the foreseeable future.
If you find this material useful, I don't have a Patreon or a SoundCloud, but you can definitely thank me by buying my book amzn.to/2MhXwgQ
