I can tell you, from my little corner of the world, the harassment and threats have been near constant and shockingly intense. I cannot imagine what it's like for Obama, the Clintons, or even Soros. The animus being directed at them has to be incredible. 2/
This hate and this scapegoating is all for political purposes. They know they're peddling dangerous rhetoric in an effort for power, but they've played with the fire for so long now they're going to inspire countless murders. 3/
This is the rise of fascism in America. A state where one group directs lonewolves and street armies to intimidate opponents into silence. That's what it is. Period. It's not a populist movement, it's not a conservative revival, whatever that means. It's fascism. 4/
It's time for media and pundits to stop dancing around this damn thing and call it what it is. Your job is to sound the alarm when the country is in trouble. That's your duty. We're in trouble and it's only getting worse. You let the wolf in the door, now fix it. 5/
We will not survive this crisis unless we start taking this thing seriously. Define it. Name it. Diagnose its causes. Start figuring out how in the world to diffuse (yes, pun here absolutely intended) the situation before there's MORE blood in the streets. 6/
People have already died. They've been mowed over in the streets. They've been murdered in their homes. It's well past time to take this seriously, and if you can't do it from here on out, you are part of the problem. 7/7
