IRL, StB were ok, some solid FI ops, but they were no Stasi (or UDBA). Many hot StB ops got handed to KGB overlords.

KGB surely had operational files on Trump after his 1987 USSR visit. We have no idea what they said, and StB files shed no light either: they would have given KGB whatever it wanted.

All East Bloc spy services were sort of an extension of the KGB, esp in FI ops. Bulgarian DS was more or less a KGB branch office, while DDR's MfS had a lot of autonomy in their FI ops. The rest, incl StB, were somewhere in the middle. KGB sometimes ran ops against them too.
