THREAD When @SenDonnelly first ran for office in 2006, I believed him a good and honorable man and a Democrat whom, depending on his Republican opponent, I could in conscience vote for. Close friends quizzed him on his pro-life bonafides & knew Republicans who crossed aisle 1/
/ to vote for him. That all changed when he lied about statements made by his first senatorial opponent, Richard Mourdock. A good an honorable man doesn't do that--especially if his heart is with the unborn. And then he did it again in debate w/ Braun nationalreview.com/2018/10/indian…
/ AND add to that voting against Kavanaugh's confirmation while tacitly acknowledging he was innocent of Ford's charges. A good and honorable man does not do that. And EVERYONE knows real reason for opposition of Kavanaugh's confirmation was abortion. washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/embatt…
/ Maybe 12 years ago the Democratic party would accept a pro-life Democrat if only to win a Red state, but things have change. Safe, legal, and rare, has been discarded and replaced with Shout Your Abortion. And once elected, Chuck Schumer demands party loyalty-even on,
/5 especially on abortion. And Donnelly has shown he will be loyal--to pro-abortion leaders and not the unborn. It is very sad that that's where we are now, but it is. Why Joe, it profits a man nothing to give his soul for the whole world... but for Washington.
