When @JuddApatow arrived at the campaign office at UW-Madison to go canvassing today, he signed in on the clipboard just like everyone else. This was his first time canvassing. He was going to do it right. 
Judd said a few words. "People always say they feel powerless. There are so many bad things happening in the world. But now is the day we can do this. We really have the chance to change things." Cheers. Also: "If you ever visit Los Angeles, you can stay in my home." More cheers.

As fellow-canvasser @JakeWertz notes, we were canvassing student housing today. Right after a Badger game. People were doing their thing.
At the next house, nobody answered the door—until the pizza guy showed up, at which point several people materialized. Pizza guy: huge @JuddApatow fan. (See selfie, below.) Pizza orderers: undecided voters! Judd and pizza guy gave hard sell on voting for Dems. Hope it worked.
At this house, the first guy who answered was a giant fan, and is not only voting, he's canvassing with us tomorrow. Then he grabbed his roommate—who isn't registered! We explained same-day registration in Wisconsin. He's in. Boom! Country saved.
Walking back to the canvass office, Judd reflected that he, a Hollywood elite, had learned something today. Namely, when you leave the coasts and go to the middle part of the country, every single person is a college student.
Back at the canvass office, we turned in our walk sheets, and everyone—including the great folks who'd been running the sign-in table—got photos. If Scott Walker loses the governorship by a single vote, he'll know who to blame: Judd Apatow. And everyone canvassing till Tuesday.
