It's early, but it looks like the counties where voters supported President Trump by the biggest margins in 2016 are intensifying their support for his party this year.
Again, early, but so far, Republicans' support in the whitest U.S. counties has eroded a little since 2016 (based on competitive House races).
Yes, the janky-vote-counting-gizmo has returned.
Again, early. But in most of the counties where we're seeing 75% of precincts reporting, there's been a not-small shift toward the Democratic candidates in House races, compared to 2016.
We have good data so far for 17 counties that President Trump flipped from Obama in 2016. This year, they're flipping back.
