1. DOJ Chief of Staff. The day after my brother John finished his last case as Janet Reno's Dade County Chief Asst prosecutor he was at a ceremony at Bobby Kennedy's grave in Arlington as Janet Reno's guest. After the ceremony Ethel Kennedy held a private reception.
2. The only non-Kennedy's there were Janet and John, Bill and Hillary Clinton. John was soon tasked as a prosecutor in Janet's office as Counselor to the AG. On his first day Janet came into his office with a stack of files with claims of wrongdoing during Reagan and Bush41 that
3. might implicate the DOJ. Janet told him, "Investigate them, charge them or close them." I think only one of his investigations was ever made public. Given the title IraqGate John was tasked with trying to determine if Reagan and/or Bush ever armed Saddam Hussein with WMD.
4. After that, John told me that he had been offered the job as Janet's Chief of Staff. He said that the one that she had was someone the @Whitehouse appointed. I'm guessing it was over a year into the Clinton 1st term. What he was struggling with was this:
5. The job he had, though a political appointee, was a law enforcement job. That was what he was: A career prosecutor. The Chief of Staff job was considered a "political" job and he was uncertain if that is what he wanted to to. But John was loyal to Janet and with GOP drum beats
6. seeking to torment the Clintons he reluctantly took the job. His job was essentially running a 100,000 employee law firm.. John was perfect for it. He was one of the rare people who could make a decision based on available facts without hesitation.
7. After his IraqGate investigation, it appeared from the little I could glean that he continued to deal with issues related to National Security. Partially because of the fact that his office was at the other end of the large 4th Floor conference room. Janet's at the other end.
8. My point is that it is unlikely that Jeff Sessions had any role in picking Whitaker. At least during Clinton the job started as a Whitehouse appointment. Because I live in mortal terror of a member of the Russian mob in the @Whitehouse I checked who was DOJ Chief of staff.
9. At the transition and into the beginning of the Sessions administration of the DOJ it was Toby Hunt, a career DOJ attorney. March 2017, My point is this, don't believe anything Trump says especially that
10. Whitaker was Sessions' guy. And because it's certain he is Trump's choice, it is also possible that his background check was defective or just passed through by an incompetent @Whitehouse. He's subject of an active @FBIMiamiFL investigation. There's no way it wasn't flagged.
11. I just saw a report #Whitaker may be linked to people associated with Gucifer2. If the Senate does not have a copy of Whitakers SF-86 and background by Tuesday the Democrats should scream bloody murder and don't stop until @NancyPelosi puts Whitaker's impeachment on for a
12. question of privilege vote. Shove the @SenateGOP @HouseGOP noses in it if they shirk their Constitutional duty. @POTUS @GOPLeader @senatemajldr @LindseyGrahamSC @SenSchumer @MarkWarner @foxandfriends @JonLemire @hogangidley45
