Shopify offers a cheaper platform to build a drop shipping website. You can leverage on Shopify’s 14day free trial to have a holistic understanding of the platform.

The SUPPLIER:

AliExpress is the most used platform by drop shippers to source for products. You can import products and it’s inventories from AliExpress with the help of oberlo.

PAYMENT GATEWAY:

Recently payment gateways has been a bottleneck for a lot of people that want to have drop shipping as a side hustle. Platforms like PayPal and Stripe do not support our region, hence, making it extremely difficult and costly to get.
Well, the GOOD NEWS is that I found a way to earn directly to your Nigerian bank account.

Paystack is a Nigerian payment platform and has recently improved their services. Now you can integrate paystack to your shopify website and earn in USD.
However, for this to work, you’ll need to have a GTBank domiciliary account.

Simply go to paystack.com and create a free merchant account.
MARKETING:

Having built a highly converting website and importing trending products. Promoting those products is the key to success.

You can promote products through:
• Facebook Ads
• Instagram influencers
• Google Ads

If you have a low budget, I’d recommend
You start with instagram influencers as Facebook and google ads require experience and probably a bigger budget.

You can also opt to promote your products without paid ads, however, this takes a long time and a lot of work to be profitable.

So Facebook is moving fully to CBO (campaign budget optimization) in September.

Now if you’re an advertiser, you must have known about the inevitable & must be prepared.

If you’re wondering, CBO brings a lot and I wanted to talk about the few tweaks that you can make with CBO.
WHAT IS IT?

Facebook CBO is basically moving budgeting from the ad level to the campaign level.

This allows Facebook to automatically allocate budget to high performing adsets.

Now with this new development, I believe automatic placements are the way to go henceforth.
From my data with CBO since it came out for testing, I figured Facebook is moving optimization to consider audience rather than budget first.

CBO will be compulsory for all advertisers from September and this is the more reason to understand CBO.

WHY YOUR ONLINE STORE IS NOT ABLE TO SCALE:-

The core fundamentals of any business is to provide as much value to the customer as possible.

I own an e-commerce consulting agency myself and I help others to scale, but anyways.
The biggest mistake i see people make is adding a couple of random supposedly “trending” products from Aliexpress into their store and launch insanely complex ads for them with unrealistic budgets hoping for thousands of sales the next day.

It just doesn't work like that.
If you really want to start making consistent money with your e-commerce business you need to either learn everything on your own.

Marketing, advertising, product sourcing, product research, optimizing your website, finding suppliers, optimizing your budget & everything else

Why Facebook Ads WORK for Local Business

1. It's cost-efficient.

The first place local businesses generally start when advertising online is either Google or Yelp. There is 2 big problems with this. Number one, advertising on Google is going to be very expensive,
often times you will be forced to pay $5 just for 1 person to click and visit your website. Once most businesses realize this, they quickly stop advertising online and conclude that it doesn't work (which couldn't be further from the truth!). And number
2. Yelp is just plain awful. You're literally just throwing money away, you are not able to measure the results & calculate your Return on Investment (ROI), and while you're advertising on Yelp you're not building YOUR brand presence at all.
