In the spring and over the summer there were very serious concerns over the situation in the Sea of Azov leading the State Dept and NATO to sound the alarm. It has only been getting worse
Meanwhile as usual Trump supports Putin and even recently objected to language barring the US from recognizing Crimea as Russian territory. This only emboldens Putin and send a signal that he can act w impunity
