If losing the argument was the key to passing universal health care, it would have passed. The real barrier is the high veto point American system, and in the most optimistic scenario Dems would have, what, 51 votes in the Senate? You think M4A passes in that scenario?
You don't need to win any arguments to stop m4A or a similar universal plan. You just need a bare majority of one House of Congress or the Supreme Court, or the presidency
Also worth noting that eliminating the filibuster is a necessary but far from sufficient condition for passing something like m4A. Again, here are some of the votes necessary to pass the ACA. lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2017/03/paste-… 
Look at the states. Eliminate the 10 most conservative and getting something substantially better than the ACA is going to be a brutally hard lift. Revealing that the GOP has no alternative is nice but doesn't really get you very far
