In the last couple of years, I have tried to diversify my income stream. Besides earning salary as a Lecturer in one of the top UK Universities, I also try my hands on a few legit businesses, which we refer to side-hustles☺️

If at almost 50 you are waking up by 4/5am and first thing is to get on twitter to abuse someone you are perhaps 20 years older than, I think your life is messed up and you need to rework your priorities and life goals.
At 4/5 am you should be cuddling your madam or your bestie should be playing with your beard, at 6am, getting the kids ready for school or praying for the success of your family. Not getting on social media to throw insults repeatedly over divergent opinions of other people.
"A fool at 40 is a fool forever." May God help us, may we not be fools when we advance in age. May we not daily embarrass and belittle ourselves at almost 50 over disagreements on social media. May foolishness and idiotic behaviour depart from our doorstep as we advance in age.

Forget Uber for a minute, the average Nigerian man, including educated folks are rude to women. A lot of men see women as inferior and lesser beings who must not open their mouth or challenge them on any issue.
What we need is cultural change. A drastic one. All that "I have your type at home" "who are you to say this and that" and "go and bring a man before you bail a suspect" needs to go. Because in MANY stations, a woman cannot still bail suspects in Nigeria.
Some men are also not comfortable having female bosses. They just don't like taking orders from women. Some will deliberately undermine or disrespect their female bosses. It is a deeply flawed cultural attitude, and it has to go.

If your customers cannot reach you, they can’t buy from which means you can’t make money.

If your business/shop is not open and you don’t have other channels of selling like a website, then you can’t make money and your business will collapse.
This means that the period you are shut, you are not making money.

How many weeks/weekends do we have in a year? 52. Saturdays and Sundays 52 times is 104.

Let’s add public holidays and maybe strikes.

Maybe we will have 120 days.

Joshua was very much a rainbow baby 🌈 and we were so excited and over the moon when I finally made it into the second trimester. (Alex and I are both big rugby fans!)
I was working as a 1st year Registrar in A&E when I suddenly broke my waters at 24 weeks. I was transferred to Southampton @UHSFT who have a specialist level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They were wonderful, and did everything they could to stop my labour over Father’s Day.

I believe without a shadow of a doubt, that you should get to a point where you live off your returns, not capital. A point where you've invested so much, that the returns become a steady stream that takes care of your needs.
A point where you only dip into capital for major things like buying a house and then, only rarely.
