Ok, it's time to address this idea that #FBPE is an anti-Corbyn-focused organisation.

It has become an increasingly popular trope of the pro-Corbyn, Momentum cult that #FBPE is out to get them.

A favourite way to undermine #FBPE by the #Corbyn/#Momentum crowd is to suggest that it is a being controlled by the right or 'shady billionaires' (which historians of World War II will remember is a nod towards Jewish money).

This assumes that #FBPE is British - it's not, it's pan-European and was started in the Netherlands. It is 'controlled' by anyone that uses it - a good proportion of whom are not British.

Contrary to the rules of British exceptionalism, many #FBPE people in other countries could not care less who the leader of UK Labour is - except insofar as he or she is anti-European.

#FBPE people want pro-European leaders across Europe because... we are pro-Europe. #FBPE see?

And because of that, a lot of #FBPE people do not like politicians who have spent their lives promoting the dismantling or undermining of the EU.

And Corbyn does just that.

Corbyn had made a career of being anti-European from his first campaign and he still wants Brexit.

#FBPE people are as against Corbyn as they are any other anti-European.

A good proportion of #FBPE are on the left and want a pro-Europe Labour leader in the UK.

The #FBPE movement is pro-European. It's a simple as that.

If you think we stand against Corbyn, you are ignoring that we also stand against other anti-European politicians.

It's pretty simple: You can't support Europe while supporting those who want to destabilise it.
