👇🏼Bravo! Finally. A brief and incomplete thread on #BorisBirshtein and Seabeco, KGB+mafia+Kremlin (all the same) invisible octopus. 1.
2. More details from inside.

3. Birshtein was a close friend of a now-deceased Doug Coe, a founder and a former head of the National Prayer Breakfast. The National Prayer Breakfast is held by Fellowship, also known as The Family, and the International Foundation. The current leader is Coe's son-in-law-->
4. <-- more on Doug Burleigh: visited Russia for 52 years, gave a speech and an interview during the First Youth Business Prayer Breakfast in Moscow in 2015, presenting with the VP of the Central Bank Alexander Torshin, Putin’s advisor Sergey Glaziev, Lukoil VP Andrey Gaydamaka
6. After the speech, Burleigh gave an interview to Andrey Tunyaev, the chief-editor of President, a magazine distributed at the administration of the Russian Federation president and government offices. Tunyaev is a part of Putin’s security service.
7. Alexander Torshin and Butina attended National Prayer Breakfast in the US in 2017.
8. Birshtein has decades of helping the Kremlin’s puppet regimes around the world. Importantly, Birshtein helped to finance presidential campaigns of Leonid Kuchma and Vladimir Yanukovich, Putin’s puppets in Ukraine.

9. In 2008, Birshtein collaborated with the FBI on Robert Levinson’s case, negotiating the conditions of the Russian billionaire and Putin’s close ally Oleg Deripaska’s entry into the US despite of the organized crime status.
10. Levinson, a CIA spy who disappeared in Iran in 2007, was an expert on the Russian organized crime and had previous contacts with Birshtein.
11. Birshtein had close ties with Igor Makarov, Itera’s founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Itera was registered in Florida, a “middleman” company that had the rights to supply natural gas to heavily-dependent Ukraine by buying it from Gazprom.
12. In 2008, Oleg Deripaska’s Basic Element holding agreed with an Itera Group subsidiary to enter joint projects in the Urals, Belarus, Armenia and Turkmenistan, with investments budget of one billion dollars.
13. Birshtein was involved into operations with Itera along with Vyacheslav Ivankov (Yaponchik), one of the most influential organized crime bosses in Russia, reportedly hired by the FSB (KGB at the time) while operating in the US.
14. Just before being arrested by the FBI, he was found at Trump’s Taj Mahal. medium.com/@ZarinaZabrisk…
15. These are just a very few details; there is much more. Also, important: Birshtein is not Lithuanian, he is Russian-Jewish and like Michael Cohen's family and many others plays the complex history of the USSR and its republic to fool the West. Also-->
16. he, like most Eurasian and Russian organized crime in the West, uses transliteration and peculiar nature of spelling to confuse non-Russian speakers. He can appear as Birstein, Birshtein, Berstein, Bershtein, etc. Seabeco appears as Siabeco, Seabeko etc. Basically, if you are
17. not a fluent Russian speaker with hands-on knowledge of traditions and idiosyncrasies--such as knowing that Boris is also Borya and can be Boruch here and that the bandits and KGB worked together and became politicians etc--you are missing big chunks of the story.
18. You can not project the Western mentality and views on these seemingly and deceptively similar people and assume that you have figured it out... this is one of the main mistakes of the investigative journalism here. I refer those who interested to -->
such books as Luke Harding's Collusion--he lived in Moscow for years, speaks Russian fluently and knows exactly what he's talking about; and Craig Unger's House of Trump, House of Putin, to really understand it. Peter Pomerantsev's Nothing is Real and Everything is Possible is...
...another great source. On Twitter, @MollyMcKew for hybrid war, @anders_aslund for economic matters and @JuliaDavisNews for the review of the Russian press. @MarkGaleotti for mafia matters. Watch @ActMeasuresDoc for the overall picture. @WendySiegelman gets pretty much it all.
