Been a big year for Bellingcat, we've now expanded to 14 members of staff, fully paid, including a business director and editor, and next year we'll be opening our first office in The Netherlands. Cheers to all of you who have supported our work, and have a great New Year.
We also increased our total page views for the year by 160%, plus added a huge number of followers to the @Bellingcat Twitter account, and massively increased our newsletter subs, so thanks for all your support.
We've got some really in depth investigations coming out in 2019 relating to the Skripal case and MH17, so watch out for those, and we're planning to do a lot more open source investigation training, so more people will be out there doing what we do.
A big focus for 2019 will be supporting local investigations in The Netherlands, including running workshops with ROCs, universities, journalists, local activists, and supporting the projects that come out of those workshops.
We're also going to focus on justice and accountability, with a particular focus on Syria, Libya, and Yemen. So expect a lot more coming from Bellingcat in 2019, whether you like it or not.
And, of course, a huge thank you to everyone who works with @Bellingcat, from volunteers to full time members to staff, from activists and organisations who work with us to news organisations who partner with us on investigations. Collaboration is key, and will continue in 2019.
A special mention to those of you who helped with @Europol's Stop Child Abuse Trace An Object campaign, you really made a difference and should be proud.
