Well Facebook is facing massive fines for violating the privacy of it's customers. The Federal Trade Commission is expected to set records with the scale of the fine! #ButNothingsHappening
@washingtonpost reports that the fine will greatly exceed the $22 million dollar fine imposed on Google in 2012.
The commissioners are waiting for a formal recommendation on the fine from FTC investigators.
FTC investigators found that Facebook was violating a consent decree that Facebook accepted to settle a 2011 complaint for violating privacy.
This latest case arose from the Cambridge Analytica scandal.
In addition to this case, Facebook faces further fines & investigations related to sharing information with third-party apps, banks, & others!
