The worst approach we can take to winning in 2020 is pushing a general campaign that is stuck trying to win in 2016.

Forward, not backward.
I have no idea who I'm supporting, and that's the truth. For the first time in my life, I don't have a favorite coming into a presidential election year. There are a LOT of candidates, and every credible candidate has something to offer that's worth considering.
(And no, I will not mention who I think isn't credible, but trust me when I say no one really does.)
Bottom line: I will definitely have a favorite by the time Iowa comes, but it could be Kamala or Bernie or Biden or any of the other candidates who are bringing their hearts into the public square, and whomever gets the nomination, that's who I'll be behind 100% in the general.

I read the article and also watched the full two-hour video. This is a nonsense argument from @robbysoave. The Black Hebrews were being offensive, but Phillips didn't see that. He saw 150 white students surround them, and went to intervene. The students then harassed Phillips.
Multiple parties can be wrong, @robbysoave. The Black Hebrews were extremely offensive, but why on earth would chaperones allow students to surround and shout back at them for half an hour? How does that justify mocking Phillips? Your article is written in very bad faith.
I would also love to get an answer to the questions from @MeghanMcCain and @SECupp, who have subsequently apologized for a "media pile-on". My god, where is the character? You're telling nothing--NOTHING--about this incident strikes you as racist?

You see some white male journalists doing the "both sides" thing on the MAGA teens because they're afraid that could be their child, which reveals a hell of a lot on multiple levels.
I'm not even saying their kids are like this, btw. I'm saying even if their kids wouldn't do this, watching the video and fearing your white child will do something that blatantly racist "by accident" betrays an enormous failure of knowledge and is concerning in a journalist.
And further: once again, it shows just how much diversity is needed in media.

I would like to remind everyone that the only political campaign Aaron Sorkin ever won was a fictional presidential election that he wrote.
And I think there's something deeper here: Sorkin really just wants gravitas, and he's okay if the gravitas in our elected officials comes with troubling compromise.

We like @AOC and @Ilhan and these incoming Members because they prioritize substance over gravitas (appearance).
HEY, quick clarification for some who have asked: this is not at all defending Sorkin. Quite the opposite. I'm saying his obsession with the "gravitas" expressed by older white male politicians is ridiculous, which @AOC explains quite well on her page. Thanks! ❤️
