It’s both, actually. We can be grateful for both.
It’s okay to give credit to the woman who made a lot of this happen and kept her caucus in order and told the president, repeatedly, fuck your wall. It’s even okay to give Schumer (oh god I can’t believe I’m saying it) some credit.
And to the FAA workers managers and the unions who protected their workers today when they did what they had to do to keep us all safe.
I should also say this - many of those TSA workers and air traffic controllers didn’t call in sick as some statement - they called in sick because they literally couldn’t afford to work anymore. Their unions and managers protected them.
And honestly, fuck right off specifically naming Nancy Pelosi in that tweet because without her, this wouldn’t have ended the way it did.

Just fucking admit you have a problem with a woman being in charge and doing a good job.
This is a guy yesterday that said DSA members should get fliers and pass them out to TSA agents as they’re going to work that tell them they should go on strike. Because if there’s one thing that will help TSA agents it’s a bunch of people telling them what to do.
Anyway, I’m grateful to everyone who stayed strong during this shutdown. I’m grateful for the TSA agents/fed employees who went to work, who called in sick, who tried to live their lives not knowing what would happen next. I’m grateful to the Dems for staying strong.
I’m grateful for the people that tried to understand what federal employees were going through instead of trying to tell them what they should do & how they should behave to stop the shutdown. I’m grateful to the people trying to keep things going as their programs were defunded.
I’m not grateful for the people with nothing to lose tweeting about shit that everyone else should do and not doing anything to help the people who needed it the most.
One more thing- is wagee a guess that it wasn’t this morning that pushed it over the edge; it was yesterday’s nonsense in the Senate. I think the airport thing hastened the reaction but it wasn’t the only reason for it.
