Billionaires are a luxury item.
We can do without yachts and private jets and 200 acre estates and unoccupied midtown penthouse apartments.
We can't do without teachers.
That's obvious, right?
If the notion that survival shouldn't be a luxury item is radical, then I say this:
Bring on the radicals.
The second step would be resolving to solve the problem.
The rest will be complicated, but we know complicated things are achievable once we have the first 2 steps.
It's just not as important as survival.
A system that makes extreme prosperity for a few more important than survival for all is a deeply sick system.
Again, this is obvious, right?
We're not talking about eliminating wealth. We're talking about priorities.
A country that has already secured the basics can afford luxury items.
