@SethAbramson willfully misrepresents my argument which is that, to date, Mueller has not charged Americans with criminally attempting to “interfere in the 2016 presidential election,” which is his primary mandate. 1/
Instead, he has charged primarily process crimes such as lying, obstruction, and witness tampering. As I wrote, these are ”serious” crimes, but secondary to his core mandate. 2/
He has also charged financial crimes not directly related to the mandate, except to the extent that charging them is designed to pressure those charged to provide information against Trump. 3/
Finally, he has charged Russians, who will never be brought to trial. Despite Abramson’s string of Tweets, he has failed to name a single American who has been charged with criminally conspiring with Russia to interfere with the 2016 election. 4/
His numerous tweets confirm my thesis, which should be of concern to all civil libertarians. I accurately describe a “pattern” in which “the secondary role has produced many more indictments that the primary one.” 5/

Abramson concluded his screed with a lie that typifies his mendacious approach to “facts.” He suspects that I gave him a good grade “because he felt I think as he does.” Anyone who knows me can attest that I would never grade based on whether a student thinks as I do. 7/
Some of my highest grades were given to students who fundamentally disagreed w/ me. Abramson is projecting how he evaluates facts & arguments. If you agree politically you “find” the law and facts differently than if you disagree. That’s not the way I evaluate students or issues.
