NYT former editor not only botched a ton of facts (smearing people in the process) and refused to tape her interviews but appears to be a plagiarist as well. Thread.
People should stop assuming an institution has credibility because of prestige. Prestige derives from a word meaning "illusion"; an illusion of competence and quality is what elite media peddles.

Trust in an outlet needs to be earned; NYT has shown its editors are untrustworthy.
