The UK is assessing how British nuclear waste could be buried in Northern Ireland.
According to this govt video about it, the location identified is on the Newry/Dundalk border.
As part of Brexit the UK is leaving Euratom, so this nuclear dump would not be subject to EU norms

There are no nuclear power plants on the island of Ireland. N.Ireland generates its energy from gas, renewables and coal. So the radioactive waste would have to be shipped from Britain across the Irish Sea first, under as-yet-unknown, non-Euratom standards.

Imagine the process by which this video was made.
Someone came up with the idea. It was scripted, shot, animated, edited, and then some UK government employee saw it and said 'yes, good, that'll do nicely, upload it to YouTube there and embed it on gov.uk'
